Brooklyn Bowl Nashville

PrayWorks was engaged to partner on a second Brooklyn Bowl project after a wildly successful project in Las Vegas. An award-winning project, Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is a unique live music venue in the heart of Germantown in booming downtown Nashville.

Brooklyn Bowl owners Charley Ryan and Peter Shapiro built their first project in Brooklyn, New York without an owner’s rep and learned a valuable lesson. They consider PrayWorks a partner and value the expertise Dave Pray brings to the table.

PrayWorks selected the internationally renowned firm CRTKL to design the award winning 1,200 person capacity venue and JE Dunn, a national contractor based out of Kansas City, to build the project. Brooklyn Bowl brought PrayWorks on the team as their owner’s rep, but their role adds value to all the project partners. JE Dunn’s Vice President Drew Emerson gives PrayWorks credit. Drew said about PrayWorks, “The project’s huge success can be attributed in a large way to PrayWorks leadership.”

“Not only did PrayWorks orchestrate the entire team to a successful outcome, Dave’s involvement added value to the entire team. From the onset of the project, Dave’s collaborative style of working became immediately apparent. His willingness to engage deeply with our team, the architect and the trade partners ensured everyone understood the schedule, design and pricing together, and it displayed his own passion for the project to be successful.” – Drew Emerson

Drew concludes, “The team is better at their jobs as a result of working with PrayWorks on the Brooklyn Bowl project.”

Peter considers PrayWorks the best in the business and will keep him on the Brooklyn Bowl team for all projects. Peter notes, “Every time we build a Bowl venue our aim is to create the #1 live music venue in that market. We have ended up in some of the most competitive live music markets in America (New York, Las Vegas, Nashville and Philadelphia).

“Together, we have built numerous Bowl venues, they have been delivered on-time and on-budget, and each time the respective Bowl has been named the best venue in its respective city.” – Peter Shapiro

Peter continued, “It may sound easy, but it’s not and we couldn’t have done it without Dave Pray. Our plan is to keep building new Bowls and Dave, with his unique ability to provide creative magic while maintaining a balanced budget, remains at the heart of that plan.”

“The nature of Dave’s process and personality is such that people bring their A games.”

– Charley Ryan

“Our goal has been a tall order, but that is what we do. We have engaged Dave Pray and PrayWorks numerous times, because we believe he is the single most qualified person to represent our interests and aspirations as we build these one-of-a-kind venues.”

– Peter Shapiro
